The New Silk Florist In Putnam County, IN

My name is Cheryl Sims and I have been doing floral work since 1991. My big adventure started about a year ago with my silk floral business. I can’t believe it’s been almost a year already! I have enjoyed working with all of my customers, co-workers, family and friends: helping them with beautiful floral gifts and flowers for their homes, prom flowers, and helping with wedding and reception flower needs. Thank you to all of those great people who have encouraged me to keep going and assured me that my business will succeed! Even though I enjoy making arrangements, creating custom floral gifts, and making weddings beautiful with silk flowers that last…that’s just the tip of the iceberg! There is far more to it…#1 is getting people to find me. A website helps greatly once I figure out how to get them to find my website…it’s tricky indeed! Shout out to Distinct located in Greencastle: they created my website and manage it for me, awesome work! Unfortunately I don’t have the extra time for marketing on social media or otherwise, while working a part time job as well. My normal week is spent: Trying to make positive changes and improvements to my website, making new content and arrangements to showcase with it. Also locating the flowers I need, traveling to pick them up or ordering my flower supplies, answering inquiries, giving estimates for wedding flowers, making custom arrangements and floral gifts, taking photos (I definitely should not be in photography, my apologies) shipping or doing meet ups, writing blog posts and working a part time job…thus, fills my days! Shewww! 😅 Did you know, word of mouth is still the very best advertising?!! I have had the most customers from referrals!
